Scared
A heart filled with pain,
as this wolf sheds a tear.
His mother drowning her sorrows
with a frosty cold beer.
His muzzle hit hard,
by a fist raised in hate.
He holds his bleeding muzzle,
and cries for a mate.
His heart cries in pain,
as his gray fur turns red.
He lies alone in his den,
wishing he was dead.
He lifts his muzzle high,
and stares at the moon.
He howls for his pack,
it thundering like a boon.
He stretches out his paws,
to seek help from a friend.
They all turned and walked away,
with his broken heart to mend.
But his heart cannot mend,
or even attempt to heal.
Until love and friendship,
is something he can feel.
Until that time comes,
alone he shall be.
Alone in the dark,
this hurt wolf is me.
